Try the free section of Craigslist, there are many apartment things you can find for free.
Also check out the furniture section. You would be surprised some of the wonderfully cool things people are selling. Most of my furniture (A good amount of it vintage) I found on Craigslist for really good prices! I’m interested to see how this blog progresses!

Hey Momo!
I like the setup of your new blog! yay for thrifting!
As for the list, I would definitely recommend a toaster oven over a toaster, especially if you are living on your own. We use ours every day and hardly ever use our oven. We got one that is just big enough to put a frozen pizza in, and we do most of our baking in it. It saves a ton of money on our gas bill, and it doesn’t heat up the apartment in the summer.

Other than that, I think your list is missing a cat or dog. heheh.

There is a great furniture resale shop on 27th St called Marcia’s Second Time Around. I found a dresser and head board there.

Also, I suggest going to a bookstore. They might have some cool home improvement or style kind of books just to give you ideas. If you’re brave, bring a camera and photograph the ideas you like.

I think generally people like to help others and be an expert in certain areas. With that said, the incentive for me personally, is returning the favor. If I want other people to answer my questions, I should also answer theirs. So more of an Internet etiquette thing.
